What is lead trader?
Also called signal provider.
A lead trader is the person whose trades are copied. When they place an order, it is broadcast to their followers' accounts.
The lead trader (sometimes called a signal provider) is the source of the trades in a copy-trading relationship. Followers subscribe to a lead and mirror that lead's activity. A good lead is judged on a real, verifiable track record rather than marketing claims.
On Candella, a lead's fills are captured directly from their broker in real time, so what followers copy is a real order the lead actually got filled on, not an alert to retype or a backtest.
